Integrated Treatment Therapist for Court Program

EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, or counseling from an accredited university.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Required: Professional licensure, specifically licensed or limited licensure as a master’s Social Worker, Psychologist, or Professional Counselor or the ability to attain these credentials within an acceptable time frame.

A development plan to obtain or credentials to provide substance use and integrated dual diagnosis treatment.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years clinical experience, including experience providing case management services, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and counseling for persons with mental illness, co-occurring disorders or substance use disorders. Knowledge and experience with the community resources and various programs available and applicable to the specific needs of persons involved in the justice system.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Treatment Court Specialist provides services to adults who have serious mental illness and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or co-occurring disorders. Services shall include an annual biopsychosocial assessment, development and implementation of a Person Centered Plan, and crisis intervention when needed. Treatment modalities may include individual, conjoint, family, and group therapy, as well as case management interventions. The Treatment Court Specialist participates in the Shiawassee County Mental Health Court team meetings providing treatment recommendations and completes required assessments with the jail. The Treatment Court Specialist shall be responsible to the Deputy Director of Adult Mental Health Services or other supervisory staff as designated by the Chief Executive Officer.
RANGE OF PAY:
Annual Salary Range $50,020.50 - $64,026.25
