New Directions Drop-In Aide-Part Time Temp

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or GED, current Michigan Driver license in good standing required, lived experience in mental health, and previous experience as a member in good standing of a Drop- In Center preferred. Must be a former or current recipient of mental health services. No history of substance abuse-related convictions with-in 6 years.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Shiawassee Health & Wellness, an innovative Community Mental Health organization, is seeking a part-time Drop-in Center Aide to provide supportive and recovery-oriented services to consumers with mental illness and substance use disorders. Applicants should be available for day, evening, weekend, some holiday assignments, and be able to work as part of a team. Working in the community is preferred. Responsibilities include modeling appropriate behavior for New Directions members, facilitating and assisting in support groups, be able to help with conflict resolution, scheduling and/or transporting members, answering phones, light to moderate housekeeping, meal prepping and serving.

RANGE OF PAY:

Temporary Position: Minimum Wage
