Full Time Drop-In-Center Aide at New Directions
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Have a current driver’s license. Be willing to participate in peer support specialist and/or recovery coach training for certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Lived experience with recovery either with a diagnosis of mental illness or co-occurring diagnoses and willing to be open about your experience.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Drop-In Center Aide shall have the responsibility to make members feel welcome, provide a non-judgmental atmosphere, and promote social wellness. The full-time aide will facilitate scheduled activities within the focus of the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, utilizing their lived experience and journey to recovery. The full-time aide will assist and support the Program Coordinator to maintain hours of operation and ensure supportive activities occur as scheduled. The Drop-In Center Aide shall be responsible to the Program Coordinator or other supervisory staff as designated by the Chief Executive Officer.
