Community Engagement and Grant Manager
EDUCATION:
Requires High School diploma with experience described below. A Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of post-degree paid professional experience including the following is preferred: Grant writing, grant reporting, and grant management. Experience in community development work, public relations, program development and evaluation, project and data collection and management, strategic planning and group facilitation desired.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Shiawassee Health and Wellness is the public Community Mental Health Service Provider in Shiawassee County. We manage the specialty behavioral health Medicaid benefit in Shiawassee County. Beyond providing a comprehensive service array geared to promote health, wellness, and community connections - we serve as the safety net for anyone in the community experiencing a mental health crisis.
We are seeking a passionate and driven Community Engagement and Grant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be resposible for building and maintaining relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and local organizations, as well as identifying and securing funding opportunities through grants and other revenue streams. This position combines strategic community outreach with grant writing and management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in dynamic, mission-driven environments.
Summary of Essential Functions:
Primary responsibility for securing and managing organizational budgeted grant revenue.
Create and implement an organizational plan for generating revenue, including identification of funding opportunities, including milage, production and submission of grant proposals.
Identify and develop partnerships: research and identify potential community partners that align with the organization's goals.
Proactively build and foster relationships with community groups, nonprofits, government agencies, educational institutions, and businesses.
