Assessment & Crisis Services Clinician

Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, or counseling from an accredited university.
Current requisite professional certification or licensure, specifically LMSW, LLP, or LPC or limited license in any of these areas.  Alternately, can attain these credentials within an acceptable time frame.
Minimum of two years clinical experience, including experience conducting clinical behavioral health assessments, intervention and treatment.

Clinical background should also include experience with crisis intervention, short-term treatment, DSM V diagnosing, community networking, knowledge of developmental disabilities, and treatment of emotionally impaired or mentally ill individuals.

 This member of the Shiawassee Health & Wellness service team facilities services for individuals and families seeking behavioral health supports and services. Primary tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing assessment screenings and Bio-psychosocial Assessments to assess the behavioral health needs of individuals seeking services and connecting them to medically necessary services
  • Conducting pre-admission screens for psychiatric hospitalizations
  • Providing crisis response services to those experiencing mental health crisis.
  • Opportunities for additional compensation beyond identified salary for after-hours prescreening team and Mobile Crisis Intervention job duties.

Annual Salary Range $48,563.60 – $62,161.40 per year dependent upon experience
