Access Clinician, MA
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, or counseling from an accredited university.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Current requisite professional certification or licensure, specifically LMSW, LLP, or LPC or limited license in any of these areas.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years clinical experience, including experience conducting clinical behavioral health assessments, intervention and treatment. Clinical background should also include experience with crisis intervention, short-term treatment, DSM V diagnosing, community networking, knowledge of developmental disabilities, and treatment of emotionally impaired or mentally ill individuals across all populations.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
This member of the Shiawassee Health & Wellness service team facilities services for individuals and families seeking behavioral health support and services. Primary tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Completing eligibility screenings and Biopsychosocial Assessments to assess the behavioral health needs of individuals seeking services and connecting them to medically necessary services.
- Conducting pre-admission screens for psychiatric hospitalizations Providing crisis response services to those experiencing mental health crisis.
